Overview
Music (Complementary) students at Anderson University - Indiana may participate in instrument-specific or multiple instrument ensembles such as orchestra, wind ensemble, women’s chorus, valley voices, or Chorale. Students also prepare for and perform on student recitals, which are held in York Performance Hall.
The type of career a student with a complementary major in music pursues may vary greatly depending on the major with which they pair it. Students have used this course of study in conjunction with a writing major to pursue work as music critics. They may also pair it with cinema and media arts to prepare for making music videos. If partnered with a degree in the sciences, it may lead toward a job in a research field. Sometimes, it isn’t about the specific expression at work but rather fulfilling the student in a way that strengthens them for their calling.
