Candidates who complete the B.A. in Special Education program at the University of Alaska Southeast can receive an Alaska Teaching Certificate with an Endorsement in Special Education (Grades K-12) from the Alaska Department of Education & Early Development.

To qualify for admission to a bachelor’s degree program, applicants must satisfy at least one of the following:

Graduate from an accredited high school with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 or

Completion of at least 30 college level semester credits with a GPA of at least 2.00 and a high school diploma or GED; or

Completion of at least 60 college-level semester credits with a GPA of at least 2.00
