Overview

After learning the foundations of Business in freshman and sophomore year at Mount Saint Mary College, you’ll be ready to begin your Sports Management courses in junior year. These courses will add to what you’ve already learned and teach you how to apply these skills to the sports industry.

Your learning won't just take place in the classroom, however: You'll also go on behind-the-scenes tours of the operations of Yankee Stadium, the Hudson Valley Renegades, and Citi Field and attend networking events with those in the sports management industry.

Finally, you’ll round out your Sports Management studies with a required internship. Don’t worry: the Mount’s Career Center is ready to help you find the best fit!

Past Sports Management students have interned at organizations such as the Hudson Valley Renegades, NY Islanders, Army West Point, All Sport Health & Fitness, NY Lizards, and Steiner Sports to further grow their skills.

All of this will lead you to your dream job, preparing you for a variety of management positions within sports and athletics. Graduates of the 5-year BS/MBA program are additionally qualified for leadership positions in these organizations.
