Once you step foot in the theatre, you have the opportunity to get involved immediately - on stage or back stage. The program is a full educational experience that will prepare you for the next step, whether that be graduate school or the performing world.

We offer the following concentrations: Theatre Studies, Technical Design, Theatre for Youth, Performance and Theatre Education.

About this program

The Department of Theatre Arts at Edgewood University performs in a brand new theatre space, The Diane Ballweg Theatre, with all the top equipment for technical training. The program presents four major productions a year, so there is plenty of opportunity to hone your craft. The department is small and personal, with great opportunities to perform on stage or help design backstage. Also, we’re in the heart of Madison, which has a thriving arts scene.
