Dance is one of the world’s oldest forms of artistic and spiritual expressions, and only at Florida Southern can you fnd performers mastering the art of plies, pirouettes, and ronds de jambe. As a national leader in engaged learning, Florida Southern ofers B.A. and B.F.A. degrees that place students among the greats. Tese degree options will challenge your body, mind, and imagination, and prepare you for success in the world of dance.

As a Dance Performance and Choreography major, you will strengthen your physical skills and explore the history, theory, science, and business of your art. While primary emphasis will be placed on developing impeccable technique through the study of the many diferent dance forms, courses also cover choreography, anatomy, production, and dance history.

Through our close collaboration with Florida Dance Theatre, you will gain insight and experience while performing alongside working professionals on all aspects of dance production.
