Guilford’s English and Media Studies majors at Guilford College develop into ethical, expert truth tellers in a world where the written word travels faster than ever before. English minors at Guilford study the literatures of the English-speaking world, primarily focusing on traditional and non-traditional American and British writers. Courses in literatures in translation are also offered.
Graduates have pursued careers as a magazine editor, speechwriter, U.S. Air Force intelligence analyst, London-based technical writer, photojournalist, video game developer, BBC publicity coordinator, Shakespearean actor, recording studio production manager and Stanford digital information systems developer. Many have attended graduate schools including the University of Texas, Austin, North Carolina State University, Columbia University, University of Colorado, Brooklyn College, Emerson College, University of Essex, England and Harvard.

If your final year of education is still in progress, submit any and all documentation you have up to this time. Guilford College requires properly certified English translations of transcripts for review. Transcripts must be verified by World Education Services.
