Overview

The Spanish program of York College of Pennsylvania offers you the opportunity to become proficient in the Spanish language by designing a program that refines your writing, speaking, comprehension and reading abilities. Want to truly immerse yourself in the culture and language? Take advantage of several study abroad programs. Our major is flexible, too — students either take a minor that aligns with how they want to use Spanish, or they double major for even more career possibilities.

Career

“Spanish speaking skills a plus” is a phrase you’ll see all over job boards. Why? Because a growing Spanish-speaking population and an increasingly global economy adds a need for employees who have foreign language skills. Possible jobs range from translator and teacher to social worker and journalist. Our graduates work for Access-York, the Department of Homeland Security, Penn State University, the United Way of York County and the York County District Attorney’s Office.
