Overview

Jacksonville University’s International Business program builds a foundation for career success in international business by developing business skills, a global perspective, and language specialization. JU faculty use their own international experience in the classroom to bring learning alive.

The International Business major is the only small school AACSB-accredited program in North Florida and South Georgia. Also, the Davis College of Business is consistently creating partnerships with other AACSB business universities in different parts of the world so that students can experience education across the globe.

Curriculum

As an International Business major, students can customize the program to fit their geographic area of interest. This exciting major adds a global perspective in economics, finance, government and politics, management, and marketing to the core business curriculum. Executives from organizations like Johnson and Johnson, US Trade Administration, Carlisle Interconnect Technologies, JaxPort, and others have worked closely with JU students on international business projects to expose them to real-world experiences of international business.

The International Business curriculum allows for flexibility to partner with other complementary majors and minors. Many International Business majors also develop additional expertise by double majoring in Marketing, Finance, Accounting, or disciplines like International Relations or Foreign Languages.

Language courses are available and are highly encouraged for International Business majors at Jacksonville University.

International Business majors are prepared to assume roles in positions such as International Marketing Manager, International Financial Analyst, International Sales Manager, International Sales Manager, and International Operations Manager.

Our program provides the foundations for a successful global business career. Students work in organizations with domestic and international offices to get a broad-based perspective on business. The study of international business allows for the development of a core set of skills highly sought after by employers in a wide range of occupational settings in all areas of the world.

International Business majors add a valuable global perspective to many different types of companies and functional areas such as Marketing and Finance. International Business majors have successfully placed with organizations such as Georgia Pacific, Johnson and Johnson, Black Knight, Citibank, Ernst & Young, and MacQuarie.
