As the construction industry is one of the largest employers in the world, construction managers are needed to effectively step into this vital role. The Construction Management program at California Baptist University will prepare students to do just that. They’ll gain an understanding of design, estimation, project controls, human relations and the legal aspects of the construction industry.

Why study Construction Management program at California Baptist University?

Construction management students are required to accrue a minimum of 200 internship hours during the course of their studies. Through this, students gain valuable experience and build their professional networks in preparation for full-time employment after graduation. Over the last few years each graduating class has placed 100% of its students within the industry. Alumni have gone on to work at McCarthy Building Companies, Hensel Phelps, Tilden-Coil Constructors and Kiewit Construction, among others.

Students can also join the AEC Club (Architecture, Engineering and Construction Club). Through this club students participate in national competitions, travel to conferences and attend leadership development workshops led by national trade associations.

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

  • Official transcripts. Send us the official sealed copies of all academic records (including transcripts, mark sheets and grade reports, as well as graduation certificates, diplomas and/or completion certificates) from secondary schools, showing dates of attendance, courses taken and grades received. Transfer applicants are required to submit all official college transcripts from all colleges/universities attended.
  • An essay or personal statement. Submit a personal statement (minimum 3–5 paragraphs) responding to "What do you hope to gain from your experience as a student at CBU?"
  • Minimum of 430 on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing  on the SAT.
  • Minimum of 16 on the English section of the ACT.
