Overview

Many graduates are employed by environmental consulting firms and work with both government and industry in the areas of environmental regulation and compliance. Still others work with environmental advocacy groups to conserve and protect our natural environment.

Students in the Environmental Science program at the State University of New York Plattsburgh are encouraged to participate in our Applied Environmental Science Program, an off-campus residential semester at the Miner Institute that prepares students for careers in environmental science. Send an official high school transcript
Although applicants are not required to take the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test), it is highly recommended.
One letter of recommendation is requested. Letters composed in English are preferred, but if necessary, we will accept letters written in other languages.
Please compose a personal essay in English using at least 250 words.
