Overview

At Religion at Ohio Northern University you’ll choose a concentration in either Eastern or Western religions. You will explore various religious and philosophical traditions in depth. You’ll take challenging classes that require self-reflection, debate and extensive writing.

The programme

We also offer a pre-seminary option if you’re interested in attending a seminary. You’ll be assigned a faculty advisor who will work with you from day one until you graduate. Your advisor will help you design a program of study that will prepare you for the rigors of seminary school. Your academic progress will be closely monitored to make sure your GPA remains solid. Our professors go above and beyond to provide extra help and tutoring if needed.

Although ONU is associated with the United Methodist Church, our religion program is non-sectarian. In other words, we don’t favor a certain religion. But you’ll discover that faith and service are integral parts of life on campus for most ONU students.

Apply to Ohio Northern University at least three months before the intended date of enrollment in order to allow adequate time to apply for a non-immigrant student visa from your home country. To apply, please complete the University Application or Common Application, and submit the following supporting documents to the Office of International Admissions:
