In the Music Performance program of Pacific University Oregon students gain a solid academic foundation built upon studies in music theory and analysis, music history and performance opportunities in both classical and jazz idioms.
In the Bachelor of Arts in Music: Performance, students spend their time rehearsing and practicing for the many performance opportunities at Pacific University. Ensemble participation and solo recitals are essential parts of the plan of study. Receive individualized performance instruction and enjoy state-of-the-art facilities — including a 400-seat recital hall, piano lab with Kawai electronic units, a Mac-based MIDI lab, practice rooms with pianos, a percussion studio and rehearsal space that replicates the recital hall. Perform in a wide range of ensembles and travel with performance groups to major cities in the U.S. and abroad. Apply for music scholarships that are available to all students, not just music majors or minors.
