Overview
Our Public Health program at West Chester University combines classroom study, field trips, and work experience, to give students the knowledge and skills needed to assess, plan, implement and evaluate public health programs and to help individuals take responsibility for their health and well-being.
Students get hands on experience through a full-semester internship with placements in a variety of settings including county health departments, hospitals and voluntary health agencies. Graduates of our program have in demand skills that are needed for health promotion and disease prevention, and are eligible to take the national examination for certification as health education specialists (CHES).

- Pay a $45 non-refundable application fee online by credit card. If you are eligible to use an application fee waiver, please refer to the WCU Fee Waiver Policy.
- Complete the application for admission.
- Arrange for official (translated) transcripts and exam results to be sent to the Office of Admissions.
- Proof of English language proficiency.
- Applicants who have taken the SAT or ACT must arrange for official scores to be sent to the Office of Admissions.
