Through comprehensive course offerings and the student teaching experience, you will develop the skills you need to serve at all grade levels within both public and private schools.

Our Music Education program from the West Chester University uniquely combines the study of child growth with an understanding of the principles of learning, as they apply to music. You will learn how to evaluate students to assess musical progress and how to best develop curriculum to support student success.

What Can I Do With This Degree?

Our graduates use their broad foundation in all aspects of music to pursue paths within the field, including:

Working as general music educators in elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools

Serving as band directors, orchestra directors, and choir directors
