Overview

Graduates of the Economics - Business program of the Southeast Missouri State University work in a wide variety of business and management settings including corporate finance, investment banking, financial operations, as well as, management roles. Examples of job titles include financial manager, financial advisor, entrepreneur, banker, business planner, economist and corporate manager.

Business Economics students have access to more than 30 studyabroad programs offered with the Harrison College of Business and Computing.

Have access to Southeast’s Center for Economic and Business Research, which provides undergraduate students with experience conducting and publishing economics research. Operated by Southeast faculty and advised by professionals in the industry, the center conducts research, publishes a quarterly newsletter, and hosts meetings to promote economic development in Missouri. The center also performs economic research on a contract basis.

Successful completion of Level 5 of Southeast’s IEP.

English proficiency tests

Diploma from a U.S. high school

Diploma from an international school with U.S. regional accreditation

Diploma from IB curriculum school whose sole medium of instruction is English

Diploma from a non-U.S. high school/secondary education where English language is the sole medium of instruction.

SAT test score of 450 or higher on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section.

A score of 21 or better Combined English/Writing score on the ACT Plus Writing test

Successful completion of Level 112 in the ELS Language School
