  • Explain legal concepts relevant to the sport industry and evaluate situations in sport settings that may have legal implications for sport organizations, entities, or participants.
  • Demonstrate the ability to evaluate sport facilities & amenities, sport service and experience offerings, and to effectively collaborate with others to improve the quality of these offerings.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally via presentation and public speaking opportunities, and in writing to internal and external audiences.
  • Explain and apply principles of mass media, communication, promotion, and public relations particularly as they relate to sport management.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in writing to internal and external audiences.
  • Employ critical thinking techniques to propose solutions, both individually and in groups, to a wide-range of problems representing those commonly experienced in various segments of the sport industry.
  • Effectively demonstrate skills applicable to a variety of sport industry segments (professional, intercollegiate, interscholastic, community/non-profit, etc.) through culminating internship experiences in the field.

You need the following GPA score:

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

  • Official high school transcript from an accredited secondary school or official GED equivalency diploma or GED transcript.
    • 1 letter of recommendation from a teacher or school counselor
    • Official standardized test score report from ACT or SAT (Reading/Writing + Math; Essay not required)
    • Complete the Common Application for Admission online.
    • An essay or personal statement is required within the Common Application.
    • Pay the non-refundable $50 application fee (payable online by debit card, credit card or e-check)
