Overview
Why Behavioral Sciences at Andrews University
- Behavioral scientists study the cultural, social and psychological aspects of humans. Interested in thought processes and why people act the way they do? Consider Andrews!
- The Behavioral Sciences program at Andrews University offers unique opportunities for research. You’ll begin in-the-field research as early as your second year in our program. You’ll graduate with your own research portfolio to show off at job interviews.
- Take summer classes in Jordan, or go on an annual study tour to Madagascar or Peru. Join an on-campus club. Research and experiment. Add a minor. Do it all at Andrews.
- We can’t help but brag about our students. Some have their research published in professional journals. Others present at distinguished conferences. And some go on to graduate school and beyond.
- We have the exact degree you’re looking for. Besides a general Bachelor of Science in behavioral sciences, we offer emphases in anthropology, anthropological archaeology and public health.
Careers in Behavioral Sciences
Study the way individuals and cultures interact today and throughout the past. If you’re interested in the actions of people around you, consider a career in psychology, sociology, counseling or family studies. If past cultures call to you, choose an emphasis in anthropology and/or archaeology.
Most degrees in this field require further education, often a doctoral degree, for positions in universities, governments or research organizations, but a BA allows you to work in management or marketing, at a museum or in some educational fields.
