At Theatre from Saginaw Valley State University as an incentive for those in the program, students are offered an immersive scholarship experience that involves an auditioning process and selective criteria, which introduces them to the familiarities of true theatrical involvement from behind-the-scenes. Exploration of perspectives of theatre in Western civilization, cognizance of dramatic literature and the development of artistic outlets combine to provide SVSU students with a sound understanding of theory and practice.

The Theatre curriculum at Saginaw Valley State University includes a strong foundation in theatre-based work with extensive exposure to theatrical history, acting, stagecraft and so much more. Students will flourish with the use of the Dance/Movement Room and the Scene Shop which caters to the real-world needs of dedicated performers, while also educating students on behind-the-scenes operations.

Copy of passport name/photo page (and any dependent(s))

Evidence of Financial Support (original bank statement signed and stamped by the bank) for one academic year, $34,175 USD

Unofficial transcripts, translated into English from all institutions attended outside the U.S.

official international transcripts must be provided after arrival

official U.S. transcripts must be provided prior to admission

Request to have official scores on the English language test sent directly to SVSU (if scores are not submitted or are below requirements, conditional admission may be offered)

Request to have official SAT or ACT scores sent directly to SVSU for additional scholarship consideration. (NOT REQUIRED).
