Our Electromechanical Engineering Technology (EMET) program is an interdisciplinary hands-on engineering technology program that incorporates elements of both electrical and mechanical systems. Students in our program learn the basics in a wide range of topics from both types of systems, as well as fundamental knowledge of physics and mathematics. For electrical systems, students take courses in analog and digital circuits, electronics, microprocessors, instrumentation, and data acquisition. 

For mechanical systems, students learn about manufacturing, statics, materials, and fluids. Our program also trains students in the use of industry-standard technology and software making them ready to be effective on the job from day one.

Career outlook

The EMET program prepares students to become effective members of an engineering team to help solve multidisciplinary problems in industry and government in areas like electronic instrumentation, quality and testing, process control, alternative energy systems, robotics, manufacturing, automated control systems, and product sales and service.

    The TOEFL®PBT is administered in a paper format and measures your ability to use and understand English in a classroom setting at the college or university level. It accurately measures how well you can listen, read and write in English while performing academic tasks.

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

International Scholarship:

  • Undergraduate and Transfer students are considered for a partial tuition scholarship ($6,000.00 to $16,000.00). Scholarships are offered to the most qualified students making application for the Fall & Spring Academic Terms.

Continuing Academic Talent Scholarship:

  • If you demonstrate above average performance while enrolled at the University you will be considered for a partial tuition scholarship ($2,000 to $4,000). You must complete 30 credit hours with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 out of 4.0. 

Family Grant Programme:

  • If a student has a brother, sister, parent or spouse as a student, only one tuition fee will be paid full, while the other one will be halved.
