Overview

Students in our Electromechanical Engineering Technology program at University of Hartford learn the basics in a wide range of topics from both types of systems, as well as fundamental knowledge of physics and mathematics. For electrical systems, students take courses in analog and digital circuits, electronics, microprocessors, instrumentation, and data acquisition.

For mechanical systems, students learn about manufacturing, statics, materials, and fluids. Our program also trains students in the use of industry-standard technology and software making them ready to be effective on the job from day one.

Career outlook

The EMET program prepares students to become effective members of an engineering team to help solve multidisciplinary problems in industry and government in areas like electronic instrumentation, quality and testing, process control, alternative energy systems, robotics, manufacturing, automated control systems, and product sales and service.
