Overview

RN-BSN curriculum from Frostburg State University is designed to increase the registered nurse's knowledge and skills. This Nursing program will prepare nurses to assume roles in leadership, complex clinical care coordination, and community/ public health, and serves as the academic foundation for graduate study.

RN to BSN classes occur via an asynchronous study such as Discussion ‘Chat’ Board or through a synchronous ‘Virtual’ Classroom. While most of the program is online, there is a 135 practicum hour requirement that is completed in the student’s community. FSU offers multiple options for completing the practicum hours using both synchronous and asynchronous practices.

Flexible options for students

We offer sample progression plans to follow to help students complete the program in a timely manner. Students can complete the RN to BSN program in as little as 15 months or take up to a maximum of 60 months for completion. If desired, in most semesters students can take as few as one class. Year-round option is available.

Accreditation

The baccalaureate degree in nursing and master’s degree in nursing at Frostburg State University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
