Program highlights

  • Take your pick from a wide variety of instrumental and vocal ensembles, including Wind Ensemble and University Chorale, along with smaller ensembles: Brass, String, Guitar, Woodwind, Percussion and Piano. You can also join specialized musical groups like Jazz Orchestra, Marching Band, Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Choir and the Opera Workshop. BONUS: Our ensembles are not restricted to just music majors! Anyone can participate in any of our ensembles!

General Requirements

The University welcomes applications from undergraduate international students who demonstrate university-level language proficiency in English. Frostburg State University international student admission process focuses on three areas: (1) academic qualifications; (2) financial support; and (3) English language proficiency.

All students entering or re-entering the major are required to pass an audition in their primary performance area before being accepted as a music major. Students changing their primary performance area must re-audition before being re-accepted as a music major
