Are you a high school student thinking about Computer Science as a major and a career? Are you employed full time and considering a career change? If so, there are many good reasons for considering the Computer Science major at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
The department has recently completed a project under a National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates grant. This allowed us to host and provide stipends to eight students for each of three summers. They worked on a variety of research projects that explored the common theme of open source software development in online computer science learning environments. You can read more about the project.
Many of the faculty members are very active in their area of research. The research ranges from artificial intelligence to neural network design to algorithmic self-assembly.
The Computer Science emphasis is one of the select few ABET-accredited Computer Science programs in the state of Wisconsin.
