At Providence College, Women's and Gender Studies is a rigorous and interdisciplinary program that places women’s lives, perspectives, and experiences at the center of inquiry.

Students of Women’s and Gender Studies programme of Providence College actively and reflexively learn about women’s diverse lived realities, struggles, and contributions through the lenses of race, class, gender, sexuality, culture, ethnicity, age, physical condition, and nationality.

Key facts:

The program’s interdisciplinary framework offers students the exciting and expansive opportunity to study women and gender in contemporary, historical, national, and global contexts and to immerse themselves in a wide array of fields across the social and natural sciences, the humanities, and the arts.
