Overview
In our digital age, we create an ever-increasing volume of data every day. With enormous data sets emerging across all industries, the ability to analyse, interpret, and communicate data through statistical analysis is an increasingly important skill.
Our expert teaching team from Mathematics and Statistics with Professional Placement (Hons) programme offered at Queen Mary University of London deliver all-round mathematical training with an in-depth study of statistics. You’ll start by building a foundation across pure, discrete, decision and modern applied mathematics. Then specialise in a range of topics from computational statistics to actuarial mathematics.
Careers
As a student of mathematics, you’ll develop strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills that will set you apart from other graduates. And with a specialism in statistics, you’ll already be expert at applying advanced theories to real-world data.
Many graduates apply their degree knowledge in the finance, accounting or actuarial professions. Others translate their skills into careers such as management consulting, marketing, engineering, teaching and the public sector.
