Overview

Through this Health and Social Care (Hons) course at Cardiff Metropolitan University, you will explore three core themes: Adult Health and Social Care, Child Health and Social Care, and Global issues in Health and Social Care.

You will be taught by expert lecturers who are actively involved in cutting edge research in the field, meaning that you will stay up to date with key ideas and practices that shape the health and social care sector. You will also hear from a variety of guest speakers from the sector including Health and Social Care Wales.

Careers

Graduates from the BSc (Hons) Health & Social Care at Cardiff Met will be equipped with the knowledge, theory and skills required for a wide range of career options including working in the voluntary, charitable and private sectors.Your second year placement is an ideal opportunity to gain experience of the Health and Social Care sector. We are especially keen for you to use this to gain an insight into graduate careers within Health and Social Care – leadership, management, research and policy roles. You will also gain understanding of real-world opportunities in the sector throughout the programme, through the wide range of guest speakers and field trips we offer, to help you decide what career path you may wish to take.
