Electronic Design and Multimedia at The City University of New York emphasizes a foundation in the principles of basic design as the prerequisite to intensive studio practice in design and imaging for a variety of visual communications media. The program builds skills in typography, design and imaging, and visual problem-solving completely integrated into digital technology. Using the industry standards in hardware and software, students gain practice in both concept and production. Students are encouraged to gain practical experience through internships and freelance projects. CCNY students have entree to the resources of New York City’s vast publishing and multimedia industries through industry partnerships.

Admission to the B.F.A. Program is in addition to admission to the College, and is by portfolio review. To apply, you must submit a portfolio, including three B.F.A. assignments and a writing sample.
