Overview
In the Costume Design program from DePaul University, you’ll work closely with faculty members, production teams and DePaul’s Costume Shop to design costumes for multiple public productions by The Theatre School.
Key Facts
In your fourth year of the Costume Design program, you’ll do an internship in the costume industry in order to gain real-world experience.
At the end of your fourth year, you will have the chance to take part in the annual Graduate Showcase, where you will present your designs to artistic directors and other members of the theatre, film and television industries.

- Four years of English
- Three years of mathematics (minimum course work equivalent to Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II)
- Three years of science (two of which must be lab science)
- Two years of social science
- Two years of language study other than English
