This degree integrates intensive technical training with theoretical and historical perspectives of the art form.
Why Ballet at the University of Oklahoma?
The School of Dance is ranked among the top three in the nation by Dance Magazine, reflecting a fifty-year tradition of excellence. Students train in the Donald W. Reynolds Performing Arts Center, a state-of-the-art facility featuring professional dance studios, a body conditioning suite, and extensive dance archives. The small cohort size of approximately 90 students ensures personalised attention from award-winning faculty members.
Performance opportunities are a cornerstone of the experience, with students auditioning for the Oklahoma Festival Ballet. This resident company has a global reputation, having toured internationally to locations such as France, China, and Japan.
