    The TOEFL®PBT is administered in a paper format and measures your ability to use and understand English in a classroom setting at the college or university level. It accurately measures how well you can listen, read and write in English while performing academic tasks.

General Requirements

  • Candidates for admission must have a high school diploma (or recognized equivalent)
  • Must have completed a minimum of 16 units of secondary school coursework. Minimum requirements include four units in English, three in college preparatory mathematics (including Algebra I, II, and Geometry), and at least two each in history, laboratory science, and a second language (two units of the same language, including American Sign Language). 
  • SAT or ACT Test Requirements
  • Present evidence of academic achievements in the form of a high school transcript, which indicates that they have received, or are in the process of earning, a high school diploma. 
  • International students must present comparable evidence of academic achievement.
