Overview
The Mathematical Biology program of the University of Houston is an interdisciplinary degree program jointly administered by the the Department of Biology, and the Department of Mathematics at the University of Houston.
In addition to general university and college requirements, the degree calls for 26 hours of biology/biochemistry, 27 hours of mathematics, 21 hours of chemistry and physics, and 6 hours of interdisciplinary biology/mathematics courses.

By virtue of the interdisciplinary nature of the program, students who complete the requirements for the B.S. degree in Mathematical Biology have satisfied the capstone requirement of the College of Natural Science and Mathematics. Academic advising for students pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Biology is provided by the Office of the Dean.

General requirements
You'll apply as an international freshman student if you plan to attend the University of Houston:
- with citizenship from a country outside the U.S.
- have no college coursework (or have less than 15 credit hours from an accredited university).
- have an equivalent GPA 3.0 or higher (4.0 scale).

Pay the $90 application fee.
