The Neuroscience BSc program offered at Georgia State University provides breadth in the fundamentals of nervous system function, along with flexibility to explore individual interests.

Our students engage in original research inside the classroom, and many of our students gain significant research experience outside of the classroom in the Neuroscience Institute or associate faculty labs. Our program emphasizes professional development instruction and practice to ensure our students are ready for neuroscience-related careers, graduate school or medical school.

Students who plan to enter the workforce after completing this degree are well suited to jobs in health care, behavioral services, education and research support.
This program also offers a strong foundation for those who plan to continue to graduate school in neuroscience, neuropsychology, information science and other biomedical fields. Our program is well-suited for those interested in medical school to become doctors of any specialty, but especially neurology, neurosurgery and psychiatry.
