History

The IPA (Institute for preparation to business) was created in 1955 and opened in Lautman Street, in the old buildings of the former Law and Medicine faculty of Toulouse. Its main mission was to train engineers and managers to the modern techniques of management, and to deliver them a recognized diploma: the CAAE (certificate of training in business administration).

Education

IAE Toulouse, the school of management of Toulouse 1 Capitole university, offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in management with majors in the main management disciplines for both full-time and continuing education students.

IAE focuses on professionalization courses to bring students rapidly up to speed for their future corporate responsibilities. IAE also offers a Doctorate in Management, designed to train elite professors and researchers.

Research

IAE Toulouse is an internationally renowned centre of academic expertise. Its reputation is founded on the scientific Center for Research in Management (CRM) (CNRS UMR), its active programme of partnerships with national and international educational and research institutions, and the involvement of business partners in framework agreements and academic positions.
