These scholarships are managed jointly by the French government and the Société Nationale de l'Acadie. The France-Acadie scholarships were created following the meeting of the Four Acadians with President de Gaulle in Paris in January 1968.
The scholarships are intended for Canadian students who are on a mobility program in France as part of a university exchange program (1 or 2 semesters).
The call for proposals is made annually, and the dates may vary.
A France-Acadie Scholarship may cover, in part or in full, within the limits of the allocated budget:
International transportation from Atlantic Canada to France and back;
Transportation in Canada from your place of residence to the airport;
Transportation in France from the airport to the study site;
Transportation and accommodation to Montreal for visa purposes.
Follow the opening of the call for applications on the website of the Consulate General of France in the Atlantic Provinces or that of the Société Nationale de l'Acadie.
Download the application form, complete it and return it by email to both organizations, along with the required supporting documents.
Mandatory supporting documents:
the completed application form in French (to be downloaded annually from the website of the Consulate General of France in the Atlantic Provinces or the Société Nationale de l'Acadie);
an up-to-date curriculum vitae;
a letter of motivation explaining the training project and the professional project (2 pages maximum);
certificate of pre-registration or letter of acceptance in the study institution in France;
a completed certificate of non-holding of French nationality (model in the form to be downloaded)
Optional supporting documents:
Letter(s) of recommendation;
transcript(s) of grades.
