About

History

Mount Royal University has carved out a distinct niche by offering smaller class sizes, a robust liberal education and unique undergraduate programs. Founded in 1910 and located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Mount Royal grew into a vibrant college in the 1930s and became a mid-sized university with a greater focus on bachelor degrees in 2009.

Education

Mount Royal faculty are highly rated by students who describe their professors as knowledgeable, inspiring and engaging. Our smaller average class size ensures that faculty get to know you, and you get to know them. They challenge you to be your best while giving you the attention and support you need to succeed. You won’t be lost in the crowd.

Research

The Office of Research, Scholarship and Community Engagement (ORSCE) is dedicated to helping research and scholarly activity from beginning to end. The ORSCE office motto for researchers is "see us early, see us often".

Community members are invited to come to our campus to take non-credit courses, enjoy recreation facilities, see a performance, take a music class at the Conservatory, rent space, use conference services or access Library’s resources.

Sports facilities

Mount Royal University has been offering top-quality camps for children and youth since 1990. We began as a small operation with 8 camps, approximately 300 campers and 20 staff members. We anticipate 2500 campers participating in one or more of our 18 camps. We are looking forward to welcoming approximately 80 staff for our 2017 season.

MY EXPERIENCE
Nathaniel Larbi Andah rated 5 out of 5 stars

The lecturers in the school have a lot of practical expireneces which facilitate better understanding. Students are taking to the field to have a hands on experience. My study experience was superb because i was trained to be a critical thinker, work deligently under even pressure and innovative.

I would say that my study experience has been overall challenging. The transition into university studies was not easy. Time management has been one the skills that I am currently working on.
