Community means safety, friendship, support and wellbeing. A vital part of preparing yourself for a life of learning, innovation and exploration is the opportunity to meet and learn from one another. This is what living on campus, or in "Res" offers.

For students who live on campus, university life continues beyond the classrooms. Every residence has a long list of activities to help you meet people, stay connected, form study groups and enjoy your time. Friends you make in Res may well become lifelong connections and form part of your social and professional networks well beyond graduation.

All Monash students have access to online resources to improve study habits. Libraries also host events throughout the year to improve research and learning skills.

Medical clinics are located at the Caulfield, Clayton and Peninsula campuses. Student Life

Campus life

From the beginning, Monash is a university in a hurry. Post-war prosperity and a baby boom spur the creation of a new university.

Prime Minister Robert Menzies appoints English academic Sir Keith Murray to investigate Australian university education. Murray recommends the foundation of a second Victorian university. Initially conceived of as a specialist technology university to serve the areas of most pressing demand, arguments grow that it should be a fully-fledged university.

Sports facilities

To make the most of your time at uni, a healthy and physically active lifestyle is essential. It's also a guaranteed way to make new friends while you study.

You don't have to be a sports nut or gym junkie to benefit. Monash campuses have plenty of free-play areas where you can have a kick of the ball, shoot hoops with friends, or just work out on the outdoor equipment in your spare time.

Monash University also provides high-quality services and programs at discounted rates to enrich your on-campus experience. We can teach you to swim, give you expert health and fitness advice, or show you how to perform a squat lift. At the gym, you'll find classes in aerobics, martial arts, yoga, aquatics  and cycling.

Student clubs

Studying at uni offers a unique opportunity to try out new things and explore what most interests you. The best way to share these experiences is by joining a club and participating in your local student association.

All Monash campuses have student-run clubs that organise fun activities such as trips and social events. There are clubs for everybody, from anime and chess fanatics to lovers of performing arts and the outdoors, medieval enthusiasts and volunteer groups.

Well, I am a foundation student at Monash college and my experience with the school has not been good so far. Classes are online, and you have to pay the full amount to sit in front of a computer screen? Do you call this justice? If yes, let me inform you that there literally are some better lectures on YouTube, and another plethora of websites, and, for free! Universities...

Great teaching staff

My experience at Monash University has been amazing because of the great academic staff, but the downside of my learning experience is a result of my learning condition in my home country. Monash University is a great university.
