The University of St. Francis was established in 1920 by the Congregation of the Third Order of St. Francis of Mary Immaculate for the education of its own members.

In 1925, under the title Assisi Junior College, its doors opened to women outside the congregation.
Jan. 1, 1998, the institution became the University of St. Francis.

ICT services

The Technology Support Center (TSC) provides a single point of contact for all the University of St. Francis' technology support needs. The TSC is responsible for providing a multi-tier support model for all technical requests within the University. It supports online, campus, and classroom technology needs for all faculty, students, and staff.

If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest hospital. For other medical needs or health circumstances, you are invited to visit the Wellness Center, where a registered nurse provides basic medical services for students and makes referrals to other health care providers/agencies when necessary.

The University of St. Francis is located in Joliet, Illinois on a beautiful, residential wooded main campus with nearby buildings housing the College of Nursing, a downtown Joliet campus, and athletic fields and facilities in the Joliet area. There’s also a USF campus in Albuquerque, New Mexico (housing our Physician Assistant program), and a shared campus site in the Czech Republic.
