For freshmen and sophomores, SFSU has two traditional residence halls, Mary Park and Mary Ward halls. Apartment living is available for upper-division and graduate students in the new state-of-the-art The Village at Centennial Square. Additional accomodations are available to students at nearby Stonestown and Park Merced apartments, as well as on Treasure Island and in the Presidio.

The Journalism Department at San Francisco State University has professors and mentors who truly care about your work. They will give you direct critique about your work. They also have a newspaper and magazine that allows students to participate as real reporters and photographers. Only problem is that it can be improved, especially for photographers who need better...
I would say it fairly good, a few challenges here and there with group formation, everyone has their own schedule our meet times didn't always coincide with our availability.
