About

History

CBS was founded in 1993 as a pure business school and is characterised by a wide range of English-language study programmes. It was amongst the first universities in Germany to offer the internationally recognized Bachelor’s degree.

Education

At its campuses in Cologne, Mainz and Potsdam, it offers a wide range of full-time and part-time study programmes at bachelor`s, master`s or MBA level, most of which are taught in English by international lecturers from the business world.

Research

The task of every university is to impart academic knowledge and to conduct and disseminate academic research. The professors at CBS International Business School are involved in both national and international research projects and publish their results in academic journals and books. Research activities at CBS are organised into seven clusters. The "Sustainable Management" research cluster has a central function of linking research and teaching at CBS. Sustainable Management is the interdisciplinary area that interrelates with the diverse research activities and results of the other clusters. The research activities of CBS are supported by the CBS Series of Publications and the Working Paper Series.

Career

Those who take up a practice-oriented study at a renowned business school like CBS usually do so for a good reason: to facilitate their career. If you look at the career paths of successful people, being lucky and the fortunate coinciding of random events will certainly come into play for some. But experience shows that planning is the key to success. We support you along the way – on the one hand through the contents of the courses but also outside the lectures.

Our colleagues support you in coming up with career ideas and then steering your career in the right direction – right from the start. To this end, we network with companies and have a CBS-exclusive internship and job vacancies exchange.
