In this full-time International Business course at the CBS International Business School , they learn the differences between micro- and macroeconomics, conduct market research and acquire basic knowledge of international management. Various specialisation options from the third semester onwards enable them to further develop their strengths.

Internship & semester abroad

The bachelor's programme is completed by an internship of at least 8 weeks during the semester break and a study abroad at one of over 120 partner universities in the fifth semester. In the second semester you will work on a "Business Project" with a practice partner, in which you will work on real or realistic cases. The course of study concludes after 6 semesters with the bachelor's thesis.


After completing their studies, graduates of the bachelor's programme will work in the following industries and business areas, among others:

Programme Structure

International Business is a study programme focusing on international aspects of economics. It consists of the classical business administration subjects as well as an individually chosen specialisation. 

In this way, students acquire comprehensive skills that enable them to specialise in a particular industry during their studies. It is possible to choose between the following specialisations at the three locations:

Campus Cologne:

By choosing the specialisation "Management Consulting", students can participate in the Double Degree Programme with the Fontys School of Management Economics and Law in Eindhoven and acquire two university degrees.

English Language Requirements

    The TOEFL iBT ® measures your English-language abilities in an academic setting. The test has four sections (reading, listening, speaking, and writing), each with a score range of 0-30, for a total score range of 0-120.

    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00. General Requirements

The admission requirement for studying at CBS International Business School is a secondary school completion and university qualification or full entrance qualification to an applied sciences university. Equivalent qualifications from schools abroad are recognised accordingly. Examples: A-Levels, General Certificate of Education or IB Diploma.

Non-EU Students Scholarship

All highly motivated non-EU applicants are given the opportunity to receive a scholarship, if they fulfill certain requirements. 

EU Students Scholarship

This scholarship is designed exclusively for new international students (Bachelor, Master and MBA) who intend to study at CBS International Business School. Each year, CBS awards scholarships in order to reduce the tuition fees for talented foreign students. Qualified students will receive up to 50% scholarship off the total tuition fee.
