The foundation for Özyeğin University entailed comprehensive surveys conducted with more than 500 subjects including businessmen, faculty members, and university and high school students, in addition to a study on "Developing Sectors and Professions in Turkey and in the World". Based on the results of these studies, ARAMA Consulting began the designing process.

Our Çekmeköy Campus dormitories are home to our 1959 students, elaborately designed with a rich array of housing options to provide a warm and home-like atmosphere for our students, catering for all their needs. Situated in a walking distance to our academic buildings, the dorms offer different room alternatives, each equipped with a fridge, for 1 to 4 persons with or without bathrooms as well as a wide range of amenities and offerings for common use including free laundries, individual or group study rooms, lounges and guest rooms, TV rooms, cafeterias, health centers and ATMs.
Through our 13,000 square meters Athletic Center, 2600 square meters library, 350-person auditorium, modern classrooms and high-tech laboratories, and quiet and comfortable study rooms, here on OzU Çekmeköy Campus, we offer all necessary amenities and facilities to foster our students’ academic, social, athletic and cultural development in a quest to prepare them for life.
Each of our dorms also has a surveillance system, 24/7 hot water, security, ambulance service as well as wireless internet.
OzU Çekmeköy Campus is a serene and peaceful university campus, away from the chaos of the metropolis, where you get the feeling that you live in nature. Created by a leading architecture firm, the designer of the Cambridge and Princeton buildings, OzU Cekmekoy Campus takes pride in having Turkey’s first LEED Gold Certificate.
Situated on a 220 thousand square meters land, our campus houses 5 faculties and 3 schools.
Life at Ozyegin allows academic activities to coexist with social and sports events integrating in harmony. The university hosts a rich variety of sports activities on its indoor and outdoor sports facilities situated on its both campuses.
The fitness centers offer a full line of cardiovascular training equipment including treadmills, stationary bicycles, rowers, arc trainers as well as strength and weight training equipment and functional trainers. Sports areas also include recreation rooms with table tennis tables as well as aerobics studios where a wide range of group fitness classes are held.
There are currently 19 student clubs and 12 sports teams on campus.
It is a great university with lots of opportunities as erasmus, exchange, international student clubs,minor programs. Architecture of the campus and the dormitory is very beautiful and functional but the campus is not at the city center İstanbul. istanbul is a very crowded city with lots of people and traffic but this university is a bubble in İstanbul. It sees mountains...
I had great time studying in OzU, both academically and also professionally as we had mandatory internships each summer starting from the first year.
I had difficulties because of the online system and language barrier.
