• They are knowledgeable about advanced theoretical approaches in the field of political science and international relations (PSIR).

• They are aware of how fundamental approaches and perspectives in political science and international relations contribute to other disciplines and inter-disciplinary perspectives.

• They are knowledgeable about developments, research, contemporary problems, and practices in field of PSIR in Turkey.

• They have the necessary skills to conduct independent research utilizing both their cumulative knowledge and applying appropriate research methods (qualitative/quantitative)

• They acquire the necessary skills for data collection, analysis using appropriate statistical methods, interpretation, and reporting.

• They are knowledgeable in understanding how past decisions and events affect current issues in PSIR, restricting or opening paths for reform and progress.

• They are competent in using information and communication technologies to access and disseminate information.

• They are knowledgeable in terms of legislation and/or professional and ethical values in the practice of PSIR.
