Along with a comprehensive liberal arts education, the curriculum of the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology programme from the Long Island University (LIU) offers coursework in normal and disordered communication.

Students observe adults and children with speech and/or language disorders in community-based settings. A limited field-based experience may also be available to qualified students.

Graduates of this programme are ready to advance to master’s-level study and work toward a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing-Association, as well as New York State licensure and certification as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD).
