 A Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John’s provides students with a comprehensive understanding of how organizations are structured and expected to run. This allows the Management majors to immediately contribute to organizations across many disciplines such as finance, healthcare, human resources, and international business.


The 124-credit program provides knowledge and skills in leadership, organization, planning, and strategy for successful management in business as well as the non-profit sector. 

Combining challenging coursework, outstanding faculty and top New York-area internships, the program prepares students to assume responsibility for an organization's success in areas ranging from information systems and operational logistics to marketing, sales and human resources.

The Management Department's Human Resource courses fully align with curriculum requirements of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), which is the world’s largest HR professional society, representing 285,000 members in more than 165 countries.

The Management program promotes the skills needed for success in today’s global marketplace. Students in the program:

  • Learn to apply the principles of analysis and decision-making that are essential to effective management.
  • Gain an understanding of the financial reporting process and how accounting systems control business operations.

Global Approach to Education

Students can serve those in need while learning about the world of micro-financing by participating in GLOBE. This student-managed academic program works with the University's strategic partners to provide loans for aspiring entrepreneurs who would otherwise be unable to secure loans.

Exciting study abroad programs give students in The Peter J.
