Biochemistry sits at the boundary between the physical and life sciences, dealing with health and disease, the growth of biotechnology, and feeding a growing population.

You will learn how to use advances in DNA sequencing to better understand how living systems work, helping to design drugs combat disease and optimise biotechnological processes.

You’ll work within both the departments of Biology and Chemistry and experience the excellent facilities for teaching and research in both.

  • 80% overall, including individual scores of 8.5 in Chemistry and 8.0 in either a second science or Maths.

International Baccalaureate

  • 35 points including 6 in Higher Level Biology and 6 in another Higher Level science subject. If English is not your first language then we would also require 5 in English B.
