Overview

The additional foundation year helps you better prepare for degree-level study, giving you a taste of learning at this higher level. On successful completion, you will join Year 1 of the BA (Hons) Media, Film and Journalism programme.

Where better to study the creative arts than at a University with its own Arts and Innovation Centre, Pontio, set in a location which regularly attracts major film and TV production companies, such as HBO, Netflix, the BBC and S4C? They have strong connections with working film studios and access to broadcasting companies such as BBC Wales on our doorstep.

Their great industry connections provide opportunities to gain filmmaking work experience. Our students have visited and taken part in projects with Aria Film Studios in Llangefni.
