Description
The Glynne Family Bursary: Welsh & Celtic Studies is offered by the Department of Welsh and Celtic Studies at Bangor University. It is available to UK students enrolling on eligible BA degrees in Welsh (Cymraeg), including single honours, joint honours, and combined honours programmes. The bursary is awarded during the first year of study only and is available through two funding streams: the North Wales Award and the All-Wales Award.
Benefits
North Wales Award: up to £1,250 during the first year of study (up to eight awards).
All-Wales Award: up to £500 during the first year of study (up to five awards).
Eligibility
- Must be a UK student.
- Must have applied for and enrol on an eligible BA degree in the Department of Welsh and Celtic Studies at Bangor University.
- Must commence the programme in the relevant academic year.
- Must be enrolled on a full-time or part-time eligible course.
- For the North Wales Award, applicants must have attended secondary school/college in, or be normally resident in, one of the following counties: Isle of Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, or Wrexham.
- For the All-Wales Award, applicants must have attended secondary school/college in, or be normally resident in, Wales.
