Overview
The International Studies and Security Studies program offered by Macquarie University will equip you with the skills to navigate this landscape with confidence. As the only degree in New South Wales specialising in security – and the only one in Australia to take a truly multidisciplinary approach spanning counterterrorism, cybersecurity, intelligence, and strategy and defence – it will provide you with capabilities that set you apart. Guided by academics who are active practitioners in policing, defence and national security, you’ll build in-demand skills in risk mitigation, intelligence analysis and strategic planning. And with our location in the Connect Macquarie Park Innovation District, you’ll have opportunities to network with organisations driving advances in security and defence, such as NEXTDC, Raytheon Australia, Meridian IT and Hubify.
