The BS in Business Analytics teaches you the skills needed to extract and manage data, as well as design and implement analytics-based solutions. Upon graduating, you’ll be positioned for a lucrative career as an analyst in fields such as marketing research, finance, advertising, management and supply chain operations, to name just a few. Our multidisciplinary curriculum combines core business knowledge with a strong foundation in skills such as data mining and analysis, database management and predictive modeling. Courses utilize the same powerful tools and software used by professional data analysts, including SQL programming language, SAS (the leader in commercial analytics software) and Tableau (interactive data visualization software). After completing the program, you will be awarded a Badge in Business Analytics using SAS. A hallmark of the program is its experiential component. During the capstone course, you’ll utilize the business analytics tools and techniques you’ve accumulated to prepare a solution for a major business or social project. An internship, required for all business analytics students, provides you with the opportunity to use these skills and insights in a professional setting under the supervision of practicing experts.
