Our flexible degree in Cymraeg, Cyfryngau a Chysylltiadau Cyhoeddus (Welsh, Media and Public Relations) at Swansea University structure with a range of optional modules gives you plenty of scope to tailor your studies to your particular interests, career goals, or ambitions for postgraduate study.

We place great importance on helping you to develop the professional skills valued by employers and you will have work placements as part of your studies in your second and third years. We also arrange a variety of paid work placements, as well as voluntary placements.

A first language Welsh degree opens up a wide range of career opportunities, in fields such as marketing, media, politics, language planning, business, youth work, education, translation, and administration.

Our career support services include:

General requirements

Our standard entry requirement is BBB (UCAS tariff points 120) or equivalent. All offers are made following a review of the application form, predicted/achieved grades and subjects, the reference and personal statement. We also accept a range of advanced level qualifications including: International Baccalaureate 32; Welsh Baccalaureate - grade equivalent to A-level; Access to Higher Education and Open University qualifications, and Extended Project.
5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above to include Maths and English/Welsh. A level BBB (A level Welsh will be required for Second Language Welsh but not for First Language).
