Overview

Applications are accepted after completion of core courses in the major and one 400-level seminar. Students accepted into the program then complete the remaining requirements for the major, with two graduate-level courses counting both towards BA requirements and towards the requirements for the MA. Students may then complete the remaining requirements for the Master’s degree with an additional year of full-time study.

Graduates of the Spanish - Accelerated program at Cleveland State University (CSU) will find career opportunities in teaching, foreign service, industry, or communications. Language study involves mastery both of performance skills (speaking, reading, writing, understanding) and of a subject matter. The subject matter may be the language itself, its literature, culture, or pedagogy.

Apply online and pay the $40 non-refundable application fee before submitting any supplemental documents

All secondary school records, including certificates. All school records should be submitted in the original language and should be accompanied by a certified English translation.

All students must meet the minimum English proficiency requirements for admission consideration. All test scores must be official and sent directly to CSU from the testing institution. In order to receive a certificate of eligibility for a student visa from CSU, all international students must submit documentation of financial support for one academic year.
